Aquileia

Aquileia box front cover

Aquileia, the second most important city of the Roman Empire, was originally founded as an outpost against the Barbarian invaders. Aquileia would later develop into an important political and cultural centre, and, thanks to an efficient port on the river, into a prosperous trading town.

Players are wealthy aristocrats in Aquileia and put their pawns to work at various tasks : play, culture, acting and building. Each activity provides benefits, costs and sometimes victory points.

An entertaining strategy board game.
